# mnemopay

Add payment, escrow shopping, and spending-history commands to Claude Code. Use mnemopay when an agent needs to charge for tool use or manage transactions.

## What it does

mnemopay adds commands to bill agents for API calls and tool use, check balances, review transactions, and finish payments by releasing escrow. The `shop` command searches for products and buys them with escrow protection. `fico` reports an agent credit score on a 300–850 scale.

The plugin bundles the MnemoPay MCP server, which starts through `npx @mnemopay/sdk`. Use `remember` and `recall` to save and search records kept in a hash-chained memory. Payments run in mock or sandbox mode by default; real Stripe or Paystack payments require `STRIPE_SECRET_KEY` or `PAYSTACK_SECRET_KEY` and a setting for `MNEMOPAY_PAYMENT_RAIL`.

Real Stripe and Paystack transactions need their respective secret keys. Commerce can use `firecrawl`, `shopify`, or `mock`, selected with `MNEMOPAY_COMMERCE_PROVIDER`.

## Setup

The plugin bundles the MnemoPay MCP server. No additional configuration needed — install the plugin and the server runs automatically via `npx @mnemopay/sdk`.

### Optional environment variables

For real payment rails (defaults to mock/sandbox):

- `STRIPE_SECRET_KEY` — Stripe payments
- `PAYSTACK_SECRET_KEY` — Paystack payments (NGN)
- `MNEMOPAY_PAYMENT_RAIL` — `stripe`, `paystack`, or `mock`
- `MNEMOPAY_COMMERCE_PROVIDER` — `firecrawl`, `shopify`, or `mock`
