## What it does

This plugin links Claude Code with the `mergify` command-line binary. The assistant can split local commit series into individual pull requests using `mergify stack push` and sync stacked branches against trunk.

The integration inspects merge queue status, triggers test reporting pipelines, and verifies `.mergify.yml` files against the schema. Authentication relies on `mergify auth login` or a defined `MERGIFY_TOKEN` variable.

Stack commands talk directly to GitHub endpoints. Missing GitHub credentials will cause stack synchronization to fail, even with a valid Mergify session.
