## What it does

This plugin connects Claude to the Shopify theme language server through the Shopify CLI. Once it is in place, the agent can lean on parsed template data instead of guessing from raw file text.

You need the Shopify CLI on your `$PATH` first. Install it with `npm install -g @shopify/cli`, or through Homebrew with `brew tap shopify/shopify` followed by `brew install shopify-cli`. Run `shopify theme language-server --help` to confirm it responds. No CLI on the path means no language server, and the plugin does nothing.

The plugin comes from the Claude marketplace and ships the LSP integration only. There are no extra scripts or hooks bundled with it.

- Get Liquid syntax hints inside Claude
- Catch template errors before running `shopify theme dev`
- Look up unfamiliar Liquid objects and filters from server hints
- Edit theme sections and snippets without switching to an editor
