## What it does

The package holds four Markdown files: `SKILL.md`, `DIAGNOSE.md`, `SEARCH-DELIVER.md` and `PATH-FINDER.md`. The first stage is a short diagnosis: the assistant asks what you want to learn, how familiar you already are with it, and whether you prefer a course, a hands-on project, a video or a live roleplay. Then it searches and returns a recommendation with a follow-up path.

The skill itself reaches nothing. Every search goes through tools supplied by the consuming MCP app: `search_courses`, `search_videos`, `search_hands_on_learning`, `coursera_roleplay_practice`, `get_course_materials` and `AskUserQuestion`. Without the Coursera connector exposing those tools the plugin has no catalog to query. Their schemas sit in the MCP app, so the prose here stays in step with them.

For local use, copy the folder into your agent's skills directory: `cp -R skills/learn-with-coursera ~/.claude/skills/learn-with-coursera`. A validator ships with the repo — `node scripts/validate-skills.mjs`. It checks that each direct child of `skills/` is a real package with valid `SKILL.md` frontmatter, and that every referenced Markdown file exists next to it.
