## What it does

java-mcp-development adds the `/java-mcp-development:java-mcp-server-generator` slash command. It generates a Java MCP server project for Maven or Gradle, includes JUnit tests, and creates client configuration. The command uses the official MCP Java SDK 2.x.

The plugin also includes the `java-mcp-expert` agent, which provides guidance for developing MCP servers with the MCP Java SDK 2.x. Keep the SDK version in mind: this plugin targets MCP Java SDK 2.x.

## Install

### GitHub Copilot (native platform)

```

## When to use it
- generate a Java MCP server project
- choose Maven or Gradle for a new server
- add JUnit tests to an MCP project
- create client configuration
- get guidance on the MCP Java SDK 2.x

## Example prompts
