## What it does

The plugin bundles skills for setting up a first project, account and billing, authentication, and credential selection. The `gcloud` skill adds validation and guardrails for CLI commands. A routing rule points agents to more specialized Google skills when a task needs guidance beyond the bundled basics.

The Developer Knowledge MCP server retrieves answers grounded in official Google documentation. In Claude Code, enable the Developer Knowledge API and set `DEVELOPERKNOWLEDGE_API_KEY` before starting the app. Without that key, the MCP server cannot access the API.

The plugin can also help an agent check its environment and outline steps before changing cloud resources. The core skills and MCP server require `gcloud` and HTTPS access to the Google domains listed in the plugin documentation.
