## What it does
This plugin adds technical sourcing capabilities to Claude Code using `searchdevelopers`, `getdeveloperprofile`, `rankcandidates`, and `getrepocontributors`. The tools query GitHub's REST API to inspect user metrics, including commits, pull requests over the past 90 days, starred repositories, and open-source contributions.
Candidate matching relies on a combined formula. Job relevance based on keyword overlap accounts for 60% of the score, while developer activity makes up 40%. When an engineer works outside standard GitHub workflows, a follower-based reputation floor prevents active leaders from getting zeroed out.
Running the server requires Python 3.10+ via `uvx` alongside a GitHub personal access token with `read:user` and `public_repo` permissions. Without this token, GitHub restricts you to 60 requests per hour, causing candidate lookups to fail after two profiles.
