## What it does

The daytona plugin ships a reference set for the Daytona platform and its SDKs. `SKILL.md` is the entrypoint, and `references/` holds docs for the API, the platform itself, the CLI, and the Python, TypeScript, Java, Go and Ruby SDKs. The Python docs come in two flavours, sync and async.

The skill fires on its own whenever a request touches Daytona or sandbox management. You can also point at it from a prompt. Install it through the Claude plugin marketplace, or drop the `daytona` subdirectory into `~/.claude/skills/` by hand.

The marketplace install takes a scope flag: `user` covers every project, `project` shares the plugin through git, `local` keeps it out of version control. Copying by hand means copying the subdirectory, not the whole repo — otherwise the `references/` layout never lands where the agent looks for it.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Plugin marketplace**
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community
```
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin install daytona@claude-community
```

## When to use it
- spin up an isolated sandbox to run code in
- find the right Daytona API call without reading the whole manual
- check Python SDK signatures, sync and async
- drive Daytona from the CLI while the agent works
- port a TypeScript SDK example to Go or Ruby

## Example prompts
- Create a Daytona sandbox and run this script inside it
- Show me how to bring up an environment with the Daytona CLI and upload files there
- Write an async Python SDK example that talks to a Daytona sandbox

The agent skill loads automatically when a request involves Daytona platform or sandbox management features. To use it manually, reference the skill directly in your prompt or code.
