## What it does

The plugin brings 17 agent skills for the Azure SQL Database container into Claude. Your agent can boot the engine, provision a database, scaffold a schema, write migrations, and build the data layer. There are skills for RAG work and for wiring up CI as well.

Knowledge sits in layers: instructions, a bundled `references/` folder holding config shapes tied to specific versions, and an optional layer that pulls current docs on demand through the public Microsoft Learn MCP. The skills run fine without that MCP.

The container image itself lives in a private registry. Pulling it takes a username and password from Private Preview sign-up, and the engine will not start without them. Moving to Azure SQL Database in the cloud comes down to a new connection string; your code stays as it is.

## When to use it
- run the Azure SQL Database engine locally in a container
- provision a database and scaffold its schema
- write migrations for the data layer
- set up vector search with `VECTOR_DISTANCE`
- run tests in CI against the container
