## What it does

The plugin installs 29 skills covering the Azure SDK for .NET. Each skill maps to one library: `azure-ai-openai-dotnet`, `azure-identity-dotnet`, `azure-servicebus-dotnet`, `azure-security-keyvault-keys-dotnet`, `azure-search-documents-dotnet` and more. Resource management is in there too — Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, SQL, Playwright, Durable Task — alongside service administration for API Management, Application Insights, Bot Service, Fabric, MongoDB Atlas and Weights & Biases.

Installation runs through the plugin marketplace from the `microsoft/skills` repository, MIT licensed. There is a second route: `npx skills add microsoft/skills --skill azure-sdk-dotnet`.

Everything here targets .NET libraries. A Python or Go project gets nothing from these skills, since the SDK and its patterns differ. Check the skill list before installing: not every Azure service made it in.

## When to use it
- wire Azure OpenAI into a .NET project using current SDK patterns
- set up Azure authentication with `azure-identity-dotnet` instead of hand-rolling a credential chain
- provision Cosmos DB or PostgreSQL from code via resource manager
- send and receive messages through Service Bus and Event Hubs
- read secrets and keys from Key Vault
