## What it does

The plugin bundles targeted agents and slash commands tailored for Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Its advisory roles include `azure-principal-architect` and `azure-saas-architect`, both applying the Azure Well-Architected Framework. For serverless workflows, `azure-logic-apps-expert` assists with integration design and the JSON-based Workflow Definition Language.

Infrastructure as Code workflows focus on Bicep and Terraform. Dedicated agents review and generate configurations against Azure Verified Modules (AVM). Terraform work is split cleanly: `terraform-azure-planning` scopes the plan, while `terraform-azure-implement` writes and inspects the code.

Resource management includes automated tracking. The `/azure-cloud-development:az-cost-optimize` command scans IaC files or a target resource group, then logs identified savings directly as GitHub issues. When workloads fail, `/azure-cloud-development:azure-resource-health-diagnose` parses logs and telemetry to produce a remediation plan.

## Requirements
- Works with: Azure

## Install

### GitHub Copilot (native platform)

**Command from the source**
```bash
copilot plugin install azure-cloud-development@awesome-copilot
```

## When to use it
- design multitenant SaaS architectures following Azure Well-Architected guidelines
- generate and inspect Bicep or Terraform files using Azure Verified Modules
- identify Azure cost savings and automatically turn them into GitHub issues
- troubleshoot failed Azure resources using logs and telemetry

## Example prompts
- /azure-cloud-development:az-cost-optimize analyze the resources in rg-production and find unneeded spend
- /azure-cloud-development:azure-resource-health-diagnose diagnose the failure from service logs and outline remediation steps
- @azure-verified-modules-terraform review my Terraform modules against AVM standards
