## What it does

YouTube Trends MCP connects an agent to YouTube search-interest and trend data. It can retrieve a keyword’s history, show how interest changes over time, or surface topics that are trending now.

An API key is required to access the data; a free key is available from the service. The connection uses MCP over HTTP. Without a key, data requests won’t run.

The server is listed for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed, and Gemini CLI. Setup differs by client.
