## What it does

This package acts as an STDIO bridge for the hosted endpoint at `https://api.you.com/mcp`. It carries zero local tool definitions or REST handlers. All it does is forward incoming MCP requests over STDIO or streamable HTTP.

Setting `YDC_PROFILE=free` grants keyless access to `you-search` and `you-discover`. Passing `YDC_API_KEY` activates the default set: `you-search`, `you-contents`, `you-balance`, and `you-discover`. If you need financial data or deep analysis, request `you-finance` and `you-research` via `YDC_ALLOWED_TOOLS`.

Keep in mind that enabling `YDC_PROFILE=free` overrides custom tool selections. To restrict or expand specific tools, you must switch to an authenticated profile.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://api.you.com/mcp`
- Environment variables: `YDC_API_KEY`, `YDC_PROFILE`, `YDC_ALLOWED_TOOLS` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
