## What it does

This server connects coding agents to public X data through a remote HTTP endpoint at `https://api.xdataapi.io/mcp`. Built-in tools include `get_user`, `get_user_tweets`, `search_tweets`, `get_thread`, and `get_balance`. Queries accept standard search operators recognized by x.com.

Authentication handles OAuth automatically on first launch. For environments without OAuth support, clients pass an `x-api-key` HTTP header. Stdio-only clients can connect through the `mcp-remote` bridge package.

All available tools are strictly read-only, meaning the server cannot post updates or modify accounts. Every returned post or profile consumes one credit from a prepaid balance. Empty queries and network errors cost nothing.
