## What it does

XActions gives an AI agent access to X/Twitter operations such as profile and post data collection, search, publishing, scheduling, and activity analysis. The project also includes a CLI and browser scripts, while this entry covers its MCP server connection.

The server runs through `npx -y xactions`. Setup uses environment variables such as `X_COOKIES`, `X_USERNAME`, and `X_PASSWORD`; the Claude Code command can use `X_COOKIES` and `X_PASSWORD` alone. An X API key is not required. Login unlocks search, follower data, and direct messages.

XActions lists support for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, and Zed. Account access depends on the credentials supplied in the MCP configuration, so keep them outside prompts and project files.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `X_COOKIES`, `X_USERNAME`, `X_PASSWORD` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
