## What it does

WordPress MCP lets an agent publish and edit WordPress pages, posts, and media through the API. The package includes `wordpress-cli` and the `wordpress-mcp` server; agents discover the skill through the `SKILL.md` file in its install directory. Supported platforms include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, and Zed.

Run the installer for macOS/Linux or Windows PowerShell, then authenticate as described in the README. Check the CLI with `wordpress-cli --version`. Use the default stdio transport: this build’s HTTP mode has no request-size or time limits, so running it is unsafe. Claude Code users can also install the WordPress plugin from its marketplace.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `WORDPRESS_BASE_URL`, `WORDPRESS_BASIC_AUTH`, `WORDPRESS_MCP_HTTP_TOKEN`, `PRINTING_PRESS_CLIENT_PROFILE`, `WORDPRESS_USER_AGENT` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
