## What it does

The server equips agents with tools to run customer research without manual moderation. It spins up an interview link that teammates can paste into emails, Slack channels, or chat widgets. Once conversations conclude, the agent receives grouped discussion topics alongside verbatim quotes.

In-app prompts rely on Research Triggers. When behavioral events fire in your product analytics, the agent sets up targeted interviews for matching user traits. Each trigger is created in a paused state. A team member must follow the activation link to turn it on manually.

Hosted mode connects via OAuth at `https://mcp.usercall.co` without API tokens. Running the server locally over stdio requires setting `USERCALL_API_KEY` from developer settings. In-app triggers fail completely unless the client SDK is embedded in the application.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.usercall.co`
- Environment variables: `USERCALL_API_KEY`, `USERCALL_BASE_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
