## What it does

This MCP server links your coding agent to a cloud visual regression engine. It compares rendered component states against default branch baselines. The system processes Storybook bundles, Playwright and Vitest browser DOM archives, or directories of raw PNG snapshots from mobile test runs.

The agent interacts with builds via tools like `get_build`, `render_diff_image`, and `accept_build`. This lets it filter out visual noise, inspect pixel diffs, and approve baselines directly in the session. Mid-edit checks via `uiverify check` allow testing specific stories against cloud baselines without triggering CI checks.

Running checks requires a valid `UIVERIFY_API_KEY` from `uiverify.ai`. Without access to `https://uiverify.ai/mcp`, the agent cannot fetch render states or accept build baselines.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://uiverify.ai/mcp`

## Install

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http uiverify https://uiverify.ai/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add ui-verify --url https://uiverify.ai/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
    "mcpServers": {
        "ui-verify": {
            "url": "https://uiverify.ai/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
    "servers": {
        "ui-verify": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://uiverify.ai/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http ui-verify https://uiverify.ai/mcp
```

## When to use it
- triage pull request visual diffs directly from an agent
- test component rendering against baselines before pushing code
- verify raw mobile app screenshot directories against baselines
- accept approved snapshot updates without opening the web dashboard

## Example prompts
- Inspect the visual regression diffs for this PR using UI Verify.
- Run uiverify check on the button stories and summarize layout changes.
- Approve the new visual baseline for the profile screen using accept_build.
