## What it does

This MCP endpoint gives your AI assistant direct reference material for Total CMS via HTTP at `https://totalcms.co/mcp`. It includes details on 89 filters and 49 functions for Twig 3, alongside form field options and REST API routes. That keeps your chat focused on code without switching to a browser.

The CMS itself runs on PHP 8.2 or newer with Slim 4. It saves content directly as JSON files on disk. No MySQL instance is needed. The server also covers the `tcms` command-line utility for cache clearing, site deployments, and content exports.

The public MCP server operates in read-only mode for documentation. Inspecting live site schemas and collections directly requires the Pro edition. While testing is covered by a 45-day trial, production use demands a commercial license.
