## What it does

The server links your agent to the three.ws pipeline. It generates textured GLB meshes directly from text descriptions or sketches. The platform also handles skeleton rigging, animation setup, and mesh retexturing on existing assets.

Connection runs over HTTP directly to `https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d`. You do not need Blender, graphics libraries, or a dedicated local GPU. Everything processes remotely on the service infrastructure.

Created assets arrive in standard GLB format. Because the server relies entirely on the external HTTP endpoint, an active internet connection is mandatory.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http threews-3d-studio https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add threews-3d-studio --url https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "threews-3d-studio": {
            "url": "https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "threews-3d-studio": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http threews-3d-studio https://three.ws/api/mcp-3d
```

## When to use it
- generate textured 3D assets in GLB format from text prompts
- turn 2D reference images into 3D meshes
- rig and animate prepared 3D character models
- retexture existing GLB meshes via agent instructions

## Example prompts
- Generate a textured GLB model of an antique brass compass.
- Convert this character sketch into a low-poly 3D mesh.
- Add a skeletal rig and walk animation to the current GLB asset.
