# three.ws 3D Agent Tools

An MCP server bundling three.ws tools: build 3D models from a text prompt or a reference image, rig a mesh, assemble avatars, and pull market data. Some calls cost nothing, the rest are billed per call.

## What it does

There are 26 tools. The free ones cover `forge_free`, which turns a text prompt into a textured GLB on the no-cost NVIDIA NIM (Microsoft TRELLIS) lane, browsing pre-ground premium vanity inventory, and a crypto news set: `crypto_news`, `crypto_news_digest`, `news_resolve`. Archive search stays free within a daily quota, then costs $0.001 USDC per query.

Paid tools start with `mesh_forge` at $0.25 for a mesh from a prompt or a reference image, and `rig_mesh` at $0.20, which fits a humanoid skeleton plus per-vertex weights onto a static GLB. `forge_avatar` at $0.45 runs the entire chain in a single call, ending with an animation-ready avatar. In text mode `mesh_forge` first has IBM Granite rewrite the prompt, then FLUX renders a reference and TRELLIS or Tencent Hunyuan3D reconstructs the mesh.

Settlement happens in USDC through the x402 protocol on Solana mainnet with the `exact` scheme. No subscription and no API key; a failed call is never charged. Server operators who want to receive payouts pass a wallet address and a Helius key, and without `HELIUS_API_KEY` some configurations will not start. Every tool declares MCP annotations (`readOnlyHint`, `destructiveHint`), and none of them destroys anything.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS`, `SOLANA_RPC_URL`, `HELIUS_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add --env MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS=<MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS> --env SOLANA_RPC_URL=<SOLANA_RPC_URL> --env HELIUS_API_KEY=<HELIUS_API_KEY> --transport stdio mcp-server -- npx -y @three-ws/mcp-server
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add mcp-server --env MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS=<MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS> --env SOLANA_RPC_URL=<SOLANA_RPC_URL> --env HELIUS_API_KEY=<HELIUS_API_KEY> -- npx -y @three-ws/mcp-server
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "mcp-server": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "@three-ws/mcp-server"
            ],
            "env": {
                "MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS": "<MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS>",
                "SOLANA_RPC_URL": "<SOLANA_RPC_URL>",
                "HELIUS_API_KEY": "<HELIUS_API_KEY>"
            }
        }
    }
}
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "mcp-server": {
            "type": "stdio",
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "@three-ws/mcp-server"
            ],
            "env": {
                "MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS": "<MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS>",
                "SOLANA_RPC_URL": "<SOLANA_RPC_URL>",
                "HELIUS_API_KEY": "<HELIUS_API_KEY>"
            }
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add -e MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS=<MCP_SVM_PAYMENT_ADDRESS> -e SOLANA_RPC_URL=<SOLANA_RPC_URL> -e HELIUS_API_KEY=<HELIUS_API_KEY> mcp-server npx -y @three-ws/mcp-server
```

## When to use it
- build a 3D model from a written description at no cost
- turn a reference image into a textured GLB
- add a skeleton to a static model for animation
- produce an animation-ready avatar in one call
- pull crypto news and market data into an agent

## Example prompts
- Generate a 3D model from the prompt "low-poly robot" with `forge_free`
- Make a mesh from `reference.png` using `mesh_forge`
- Rig `model.glb` with `rig_mesh`
