# TestChimp

TestChimp connects an AI agent to its QA platform, with MCP tools for requirement coverage, test runs, and release work.

## What it does

The server lets an agent call TestChimp features through MCP. It can retrieve requirement coverage, create user stories, manage screen states, and inspect performance runs. Other available CLI operations cover issues, releases, meetings, and meeting transcripts.

Connect over HTTP or run the server with `npx -y @testchimp/cli`. Authentication requires `TESTCHIMP_API_KEY` or `TESTCHIMP_OAUTH_TOKEN`; for a stdio setup, pass the relevant credentials in the server environment. API calls will fail without either credential. Claude Code's HTTP setup uses `https://mcp.testchimp.io/mcp`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.testchimp.io/mcp`
- Environment variables: `TESTCHIMP_API_KEY`, `TESTCHIMP_BACKEND_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
