## What it does

The server gives an agent support for work on Catalyst Core, including migration guidance, debugging help, and task planning. It focuses on developer workflows rather than providing the Catalyst framework itself.

It runs through `npx -y catalyst-mcp` and requires a `GITHUB_TOKEN` in its configuration. In Claude Code, add it with `claude mcp add mcp -e GITHUB_TOKEN=<GITHUB_TOKEN> -- npx -y catalyst-mcp`. The token is part of the setup, so the command needs a value in place of the placeholder.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `GITHUB_TOKEN` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
