# tampermonkey-mcp

This MCP server lets an AI assistant inspect and edit Tampermonkey userscripts. It’s useful when you want to manage browser scripts through your coding assistant.

## What it does

The server exposes tools to list userscripts, read one, and apply changes. It connects to Tampermonkey through the Tampermonkey Editors browser extension. Ask the assistant for a connection code, then enter that code in the extension to enable the script tools.

Install the Tampermonkey and Tampermonkey Editors extensions first; Editors is available for Firefox or Chrome. In Claude Code, add the server with `claude mcp add tampermonkey-mcp -- npx -y tampermonkey-mcp`. The connection code step matters: without entering it in Tampermonkey Editors, the assistant cannot reach your scripts.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
