## What it does

SuperOps MCP exposes SuperOps PSA+RMM entities through the terminal. It also keeps a local SQLite mirror for cross-entity questions that the SuperOps web UI cannot answer. The package includes `superops-cli`, `superops-mcp`, and `SKILL.md`, which lets Claude Code, Codex, and Claude Cowork discover the skill.

For Claude Code, install it from the `Servosity/msp-skills` marketplace. The standalone installer places both the CLI and MCP server in the user bin path, while authentication is completed against SuperOps afterward. The server is listed for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, and Zed.

Use the default stdio transport. The HTTP mode in this build has no password and listens on every network interface, so a browser page could reach MCP tools with your credentials. That is a direct security limit, not a configuration detail to overlook.

## Requirements
- Environment variables: `SUPEROPS_API_TOKEN`, `SUPEROPS_BASE_URL`, `SUPEROPS_REGION`, `SUPEROPS_SUBDOMAIN` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Install**
- The MCP registry has no launch command for it: see the repository README

## When to use it
- query SuperOps entities from a terminal
- join records across entities with SQLite
- inspect available actions with `superops-cli --help`
- connect SuperOps to Claude Code through MCP
- verify the CLI with `superops-cli --version`

## Example prompts
- Use the local SQLite mirror to connect SuperOps records for this customer and their devices.
- Find the SuperOps entities relevant to this request and show which MCP actions can work with them.
- Check whether the installation works by running `superops-cli --version`.
