## What it does

search-console-mcp runs locally with Node and connects Google Search Console to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other MCP clients. After Google sign-in, the server can read properties, queries, clicks, impressions, CTR, positions, URL indexing status, and sitemaps.

It includes period comparisons and ten prepared SEO analyses covering traffic drops, cannibalization, internal links, indexing, and query opportunities. The server is read-only by design: the `webmasters.readonly` scope cannot change properties, submit sitemaps, or perform write operations.

You need `npx` and access to Google Search Console. A Google Cloud project and API keys are not required; tokens stay on the local machine under `~/.search-console-mcp/`. Google sign-in is required before the server can read Search Console data.
