# Stockbit MCP

Hands your agent quotes, orderbook and analytics from Indonesia's IDX through your own Stockbit account. Portfolio access is read-only; real trades are off the table.

## What it does

The server signs in to your Stockbit account and exposes market data to the agent: quotes, orderbook, trade tape, movers, trading hours. Other tool families cover broker accumulation and distribution, technical analysis with indicators, patterns and backtests, fundamentals with insiders and corporate actions, plus news and Stockbit posts.

Portfolio tools read positions, cash and order history and nothing else. No real order can leave this build — the buy, sell, amend, cancel and e-IPO routes were stripped out, and old `live` settings fail closed with no switch back. Simulation sits in two separate places: Stockbit's own virtual account and a local paper ledger turned on with `--paper`. The `portfolio` tool always reads the real brokerage account, even in paper mode.

You need Node.js 22+ and a Chromium-family browser, since login and interactive chart drawing both run through it. Sign-in happens on Stockbit's own page; the assistant never asks for your password or OTP, and credentials land in the OS keychain or an encrypted file. Reading the real portfolio takes a separate `trading-login`, where the PIN is typed locally and never stored. The upstream API is private and can shift, so individual tools do break.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `STOCKBIT_TOOLS`, `STOCKBIT_TRADING`, `STOCKBIT_NO_BROWSER`, `STOCKBIT_STORE_DIR` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
