## What it does

This cloud gateway runs over Streamable HTTP to supervise AI agent workflows. It verifies every step against allowed paths before an agent acts. The service logs activity and outputs receipts tailored for audit trails.

Four tools handle execution: `check_state_transition` validates movements, `explain_blocked_action` clarifies why a step failed, `suggest_next_states` outlines viable routes, and `export_transition_receipt` generates proofs. Agent actions stay strictly bounded.

The service requires a paid bearer token obtained from the vendor portal. Without valid credentials, the HTTP endpoint denies incoming requests with a JSON error.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://statewrightgate.clauxel.com/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http statewrightgate-mcp https://statewrightgate.clauxel.com/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add statewrightgate-mcp --url https://statewrightgate.clauxel.com/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "statewrightgate-mcp": {
            "url": "https://statewrightgate.clauxel.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "statewrightgate-mcp": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://statewrightgate.clauxel.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http statewrightgate-mcp https://statewrightgate.clauxel.com/mcp
```

## When to use it
- validate proposed state transitions in agent workflows
- inspect why a specific agent step was rejected
- list permissible next states for an active task
- generate audit-ready receipts for completed transitions

## Example prompts
- Call `check_state_transition` to see if the workflow can advance to packaging.
- Run `explain_blocked_action` to inspect why the agent got halted.
- Fetch an audit proof for the finished step with `export_transition_receipt`.
