# Starling Bank

## What it does

The server connects an agent to the Starling Bank API, giving it access to account management and transactions. A personal access token controls permissions through the scopes selected when you create it. Payments require a separate signing configuration.

In Claude Code, the server runs through `npx` over stdio. Setup also passes the private key UID and PEM values. The model can affect your bank account, and errors or prompt injection could be costly. Treat the granted access with care.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `STARLING_BANK_ACCESS_TOKEN`, `STARLING_BANK_PRIVATE_KEY_UID`, `STARLING_BANK_PRIVATE_KEY_PEM` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
