## What it does

Stack Overflow MCP Server connects an MCP client to Stack Overflow’s technical knowledge. An agent can search for relevant questions, fetch complete discussion threads, and use accepted answers and comments while working through a coding problem.

The service uses OAuth with an existing Stack Overflow account and works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and other MCP-compatible clients. It is still a beta server with a limit of 100 calls per user per day, so repeated research requests can reach that cap.
