## What it does

Ssemble AI Clipping connects Claude Code to Ssemble’s clipping engine. It can start a short-video job from a YouTube URL or an uploaded file, return a request ID, check progress, and fetch finished clips with video URLs, titles, and viral scores.

The server also exposes asset browsing for caption templates, background tracks, gameplay overlays, and meme hooks. You can poll the request status yourself or provide a `webhookUrl`; Ssemble then sends an HTTP POST when processing succeeds or fails, which fits n8n, Zapier, Make, or a custom backend. An active Ssemble subscription, an API key, and Node.js `>= 18` are required.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.ssemble.com/mcp`
- Environment variables: `SSEMBLE_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
