## What it does

Speko AI runs as a hosted FastMCP v4 service reachable at `https://mcp.speko.ai/mcp`. The transport operates over stateless JSON HTTP instead of local stdio processes or SSE streams. Clients authenticate requests with OAuth through Better Auth or via a Platform API key stored in `SPEKO_API_KEY`.

The server groups tools by operational domain. It exposes actions to inspect organization credit ledgers, provision phone numbers, trigger test calls, and pull voice session transcripts. Teams can link their own telecom carriers with `phone_numbers.sip_connections.create` and attach numbers without filing support tickets.

There is no local offline fallback. Without valid credentials and an internet connection to the hosted endpoint, tool calls will fail immediately. Speko also segments features across specialized hostnames like `builder-mcp.speko.ai/mcp` to limit mutation tools depending on where the model runs.
