## What it does

The server gives an AI client tools to look up orders, customers, vehicles and route details. It can also create orders and start optimisation for a chosen date. Ask about unscheduled orders or inspect the stops on a route.

Connect over HTTP at `https://mcp.smartroutes.io/mcp` and authenticate with your SmartRoutes API key in the `x-access-key` header. To block changes, set `x-access-scope: read-only`; write tools are then removed from the available list. Take care with optimisation: auto-dispatch can publish a plan to drivers and notify customers. The API key grants access to account data, so keep it secret.
