## What it does

The server connects an agent to Slack through an existing browser session. It can search messages and export a conversation with its threads; `slack_get_full_conversation` saves the history while Slack still makes it available. The agent can access only what your account can see.

For a local connection, provide `SLACK_TOKEN` and `SLACK_COOKIE`, then run the server with `npx -y @jtalk22/slack-mcp`. A hosted OAuth option connects over HTTP and does not use those variables. Enterprise Grid may end sessions it identifies as automated, so this session-based approach can fail there.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.revasserlabs.com/oauth/mcp`
- Environment variables: `SLACK_TOKEN`, `SLACK_COOKIE` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
- Works with: Slack
