## What it does

Skyvern automates browser workflows by combining vision-capable LLMs with Playwright. Instead of relying on rigid DOM selectors or custom XPath strings, it analyzes page screenshots and visual layouts. This allows it to interact with unknown websites and survive design overhauls.

Under the hood, a swarm of agents handles planning and navigation. For local hosting, Skyvern requires Python 3.11, 3.12, or 3.13, storing records in an SQLite file at `~/.skyvern/data.db` unless pointed to Postgres. Windows users need Rust and C++ build tools installed before running pip builds.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Remote server: `https://api.skyvern.com/mcp/`
- Works with: Playwright
