## What it does

This server exposes 104 live tools for researching public companies in MCP-compatible environments. It pulls stock quotes, analyst price targets, balance sheets, and insider transactions. The built-in archive indexes SEC EDGAR submissions dating back to late 2021.

A central capability is auditing equity dilution. The server computes a Dilution Pressure Score from 0 to 100, monitors baby shelf limits, and tallies warrants or convertible debt. Each dilution metric directly links back to the originating regulatory filing.

Running the package locally with `stdio` requires an API key from a Signal8 Pro plan at $59 per month. Free tiers cannot generate keys. Alternatively, Claude Code supports connecting directly through the remote HTTP URL.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.signal8.ai/mcp`
- Environment variables: `SIGNAL8_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
