Search local coding-agent sessions and carry a conversation into another agent. Handy when a task needs to move to a different CLI.

## What it does

showagent brings sessions from supported agents into one searchable list. Find them by workspace or text from a prompt, then hand a conversation to another agent. Its MCP mode lets a client search and read other agents’ histories and request a hand-off.

Before a hand-off, the tool displays the workspace, how much of the conversation will move, and which state will be left behind. The write happens on the second press of `x`; the source session stays unchanged. The receiving agent gets a session in its own format.

You need a saved local conversation, the target agent’s CLI on `PATH`, an active sign-in, and access to the original workspace. Without that CLI, the selected agent cannot open the transferred conversation.

## When to use it
- find an earlier session by workspace or prompt text
- continue a Claude Code conversation in Codex or Gemini CLI
- create a session in the receiving agent’s format
- search another agent’s history through an MCP client

## Example prompts
- Find a session by a phrase from my prompt and prepare a hand-off to Codex.
- Show conversations from this workspace so I can continue one in Gemini CLI.
- Use MCP to find a Claude Code session by prompt text and request a hand-off to Codex.
