# Shilpi for WordPress

This MCP server lets an agent edit a Shilpi-powered WordPress site, from page content and design settings to SEO fields.

## What it does

Use the tools to read and update pages, posts, templates, navigation, global styles, and SEO fields. They can also bring in a static HTML file or a directory of site assets, and manage media, fonts, scripts, and project files. The server runs on the WordPress site itself.

A working setup needs WordPress 6.4 or later, PHP 8.0 or later, and an active Shilpi theme with a valid licence. OAuth also needs HTTPS. The tools do not expose the filesystem, SSH, `wp-config.php`, or theme and plugin files. PHP snippet writing requires a separate permission from the site owner; uploading JavaScript requires `unfiltered_html`.

An active licence is required for the MCP endpoints to respond, so check that before configuring a client. WooCommerce Kit adds tools when enabled, but those tools do not expose customer, order, address, or payment data.
