## What it does

ShareSEER runs as a remote MCP server at `https://shareseer.com/mcp`. It exposes eight tools: company lookup by ticker, that company's filings, its insider transactions, recent filings market-wide, recent insider activity, and the largest daily or weekly insider trades.

Claude Code and the other MCP clients authenticate with an API key from your profile page; it starts with `sk-shareseer-`. Four header names are accepted — `authorization`, `x-api-key`, `api-key`, `x-auth-token`. An `Authorization` value needs the `Bearer` prefix, while `x-api-key` takes the key on its own. No key, no calls.

Free tier caps you at 10 requests per hour and 50 per day, filings go back 24 months, insider data lags roughly 24 hours, and insider transaction results stop at 3. Pagination is off. Every response carries `X-RateLimit-*` headers, and `/api/v1/usage` reports your remaining quota without spending a request.
