## What it does

This MCP server links your development agent with Cycloid's internal developer portal. The model receives tools to explore service catalogs and validate StackForms configuration files. It also guides stack creation from blueprints interactively.

Under the hood, the server exposes Cycloid resources under the `cycloid://` URI scheme. The `CYCLOID_EVENT_LIST` tool queries events using Unix timestamp boundaries, severity tiers, and origin types like AWS or Monitoring.

Without valid `X-CY-ORG` and `X-CY-API-KEY` HTTP headers, remote requests fail immediately. Running a self-hosted instance requires Python 3.12 or the official Docker container exposed on port `8010`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Remote server: `https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http server https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add server --url https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "server": {
            "url": "https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "server": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http server https://mcp.cycloid.io/mcp
```

## When to use it
- provision an infrastructure stack from a blueprint using chat prompts
- validate local StackForms configuration files before merging
- filter organization events by severity and source
- retrieve active pipeline statuses and catalog repositories

## Example prompts
- List all available Cycloid blueprints
- Validate my StackForms config file
- Show recent critical organization events from AWS
