## What it does

The SceneView MCP server connects an assistant to SDK materials, including API documentation and samples. It can help generate and validate code for 3D and AR projects. That makes it relevant when you’re building an app with SceneView and want the assistant to use the SDK’s API.

The server runs with `npx -y sceneview-mcp`; the package does not need to be installed in the project. In Claude Code, add it with the command in the FAQ. For Android projects, SceneView has build requirements: Kotlin 2.4 and JVM target 21, for instance. Check those before using generated Android code.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

## When to use it
- find the right SceneView API for a 3D scene
- locate an example for an AR feature
- generate code based on the SDK documentation
- check SceneView code against the SDK API

## Example prompts
- Find the SceneView API for displaying a 3D model in an Android app.
- Look for a SceneView example that places a model on a detected plane.
- Check this code against the SceneView API and suggest corrections.
