## What it does

Samebase ships as a single MCP server called `samebase`, plus a skill that decides when the client should reach for Samebase and when it should ask first about switching providers. The server gives the agent access to web apps tied to a repository. Start a fresh chat or task once you install or update it, or the connection will not pick up.

Authorization is required. Approve access when the client asks; in Claude that happens through `/mcp`. Do not add `https://samebase.com/mcp` as a second manual server, because the plugin already registers that connection. `open @samebase` only works after you authorize, and the dashboard opens through a one-time URL returned by the browser-handoff action. The public Samebase site is not a fallback for signing in or reaching the dashboard.

A missing action does not mean authorization broke. Check the local entry with `/plugin` first, then update the marketplace, update the plugin and reload. Reach for `/mcp` only when the connection itself reports an authorization error. If actions are still absent after the reload, say the MCP connection did not register and stop there.
