# Rush SR Lap Analyzer

Reads AiM RaceStudio lap data to compare runs, locate time loss, and review session consistency. Use it when telemetry needs a lap-by-lap breakdown.

## What it does

Rush SR Lap Analyzer accepts an AiM RaceStudio CSV export, or an uploaded file where the client supports uploads. Its session analysis reports lap times, the best and theoretical best results, consistency, and the reason each lap was left out. `compare_laps` checks two laps from one session by time delta, braking points, and minimum corner speeds.

\`find_time_loss` identifies the sectors that give up the most time against the best lap. `compare_sessions` uses the best valid lap from each session and reports the delta, sector gains and losses, braking points, corner minimums, and top speed. Processing stays in memory, results are not stored, and no language-model call is made. The server cannot read binary `.xrk` logs directly, so an AiM RaceStudio CSV export is required for this path. Files have an 8 MB limit; the out-lap, in-lap segment, and laps over 7% slower than the best are excluded.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://laps.mcp.rush.sr/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http lap-analyzer https://laps.mcp.rush.sr/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add laps --url https://laps.mcp.rush.sr/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "laps": {
            "url": "https://laps.mcp.rush.sr/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "laps": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://laps.mcp.rush.sr/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http laps https://laps.mcp.rush.sr/mcp
```

## When to use it
- inspect lap times from a RaceStudio CSV
- compare two laps within one session
- locate the sectors with the largest time loss
- contrast two sessions on the same track
- remove laps excluded by the analyzer

## Example prompts
- Analyze this AiM RaceStudio export and report the best lap, theoretical best, consistency, and excluded laps.
- Compare two laps in `session.csv`, focusing on braking points and minimum speeds through corners.
- Compare `session-a.csv` with `session-b.csv` and show sector deltas, braking differences, corner speeds, and top speed.
