## What it does

This MCP server exposes methods like `runvouch_status`, `alerts`, `run_start`, and `run_end` directly to the assistant. It tracks background sessions, ensuring automated runs do not fail silently or claim completion when output files are missing. Each finished execution generates a sha256 digest linked into daily Merkle structures stamped via Bitcoin.

Built-in detectors catch runaway loops. The server alerts on repetitive tool retries, dead cron schedules, and runtime drift. When a job hits your cost ceiling on paid tiers, the platform freezes subsequent executions until you resume them manually.

You need a valid `RUNVOUCH_KEY` or a self-hosted FastAPI instance running SQLite. Without an active endpoint or credentials, the server cannot log runs.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://api.runvouch.com/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http runvouch https://api.runvouch.com/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add runvouch --url https://api.runvouch.com/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "runvouch": {
            "url": "https://api.runvouch.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "runvouch": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://api.runvouch.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http runvouch https://api.runvouch.com/mcp
```

## When to use it
- stop repetitive tool loops from draining API balances
- verify that required output artifacts exist before marking a task done
- audit unattended runs with cryptographic proof
- route agent failure alerts to webhooks or chat channels

## Example prompts
- Check RunVouch for any unacknowledged alerts from recent runs
- Mark the start of our scheduled sync using `runvouch_run_start`
- Retrieve the latest execution status for this workspace via RunVouch
