## What it does

Robinhood Crypto connects an AI agent to Robinhood’s official Crypto Trading API. It can read quotes, holdings, and orders, calculate FIFO cost basis and realized P&L, keep a trade journal, and apply risk controls. Trading tools are separated from the read-only data server.

Setup uses `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_API_KEY` and `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_PRIVATE_KEY`; the configuration also accepts `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_API_VERSION` and `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_BASE_URL`. The server is started with `npx -y robinhood-mcp`. Trading requires `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_ENABLE_TRADING=1`, while guarded mode asks for `confirm: true` before an order is placed.

Robinhood provides no sandbox or paper account, so an order sent through this server uses real money in a real brokerage account. The package includes order caps, an optional symbol allowlist, buy-only mode, and a kill switch that pauses execution.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_API_KEY`, `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_PRIVATE_KEY`, `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_API_VERSION`, `ROBINHOOD_CRYPTO_BASE_URL` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.
