## What it does

Eight tools ship with the server. `revit_upload` pushes a file into APS and kicks off translation. `revit_get_elements` and `revit_get_parameters` walk the model by category and read what each element carries. `revit_run_schedule` extracts schedule data, `revit_clash_detect` runs VDC rule checks, `revit_export_ifc` writes the model out as IFC, and `revit_get_sheets` with `revit_get_views` lists sheets and views.

The runtime is Cloudflare Workers. Auth goes through APS OAuth2 with client_credentials, tokens sit in Cloudflare KV, and calls are logged to D1. You need a `user_key` from scanbim.app/settings/billing. Send it as either `x-scanbim-api-key: <your_user_key>` or `Authorization: Bearer sk_scanbim_<your_user_key>`. Pick one and stay with it. Switching between the two formats spins up a separate free-plan row, so you end up on a fresh 50-credit account without noticing.

Know the response codes before you wire anything up. `200` means the call ran and credits were debited. `401` means the auth header is missing or malformed. `402` means you are out of credits, and the body carries `checkout_urls` for five packs plus `top_up_url` for the billing page.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://mcp.scanbimlabs.io/revit`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http revit https://mcp.scanbimlabs.io/revit
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add revit --url https://mcp.scanbimlabs.io/revit
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "revit": {
            "url": "https://mcp.scanbimlabs.io/revit"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "revit": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://mcp.scanbimlabs.io/revit"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http revit https://mcp.scanbimlabs.io/revit
```

## When to use it
- list model elements by category
- read parameters off a single element
- pull schedule data out of Revit
- run VDC clash detection
- export a model to IFC

## Example prompts
- Upload `model.rvt` to APS and translate it
- Show me every element in the Walls category with its parameters
- Run clash detection with the VDC rules and export the report
