## What it does

Revelara gives an agent access to a curated collection of public production incidents, your organization’s risk register, and a reliability controls catalog. It also maps connections between incidents, technologies, services, and controls. The service catalog includes tiers, owners, stacks, and dependencies; results are scoped to your organization.

All 22 MCP tools are read-only. You need a Revelara account and must sign in with OAuth 2.1. The plugin includes a `setup` skill to connect the server and optionally install the `rvl` scanner. Scanning runs on your machine, so your code stays there.

The server can be configured in Claude Code, Codex, and other listed clients. For Codex, run `codex mcp add revelara --url https://api.revelara.ai/mcp`. An account is required to connect.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://api.revelara.ai/mcp`

claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://api.revelara.ai/mcp
```
### Codex
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add revelara --url https://api.revelara.ai/mcp
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json

    "mcpServers": {
        "revelara": {
            "url": "https://api.revelara.ai/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```
### GitHub Copilot
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http revelara https://api.revelara.ai/mcp
```

## When to use it
- find public incident reports related to a service failure
- match a registered risk with controls and supporting evidence
- trace links between incidents, services, technologies, and controls
- look up service owners, tiers, stacks, and dependencies

## Example prompts
- Find public incident reports related to failures in our service and show the original reports.
- Match this risk in our register to relevant controls and available evidence.
- Show this service’s dependencies, owner, and related reliability controls.
