## What it does

This server connects your development assistant directly to the public registry at `releases.sh`. Instead of browsing raw GitHub tags or vendor blogs, the assistant queries standardized release feeds with generated summaries and breaking-change classifications.

Read queries work out of the box without tokens or registered accounts. Higher rate limits and custom notification hooks do require a free profile on the platform.

The server runs remotely over HTTP at `https://agents.releases.sh/mcp`. Local package building is avoided entirely. You only need network access.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://agents.releases.sh/mcp`

```
## When to use it
- inspect breaking changes before upgrading dependencies
- check recent release timelines for a specific vendor
- troubleshoot sudden library failures after a minor bump
- scan software ecosystems for mentions of a target protocol
## Example prompts
- "Check Anthropic recent releases and list breaking changes."
- "What updates were shipped for MCP libraries recently?"
- "Review the changelog before we bump this dependency."
