## What it does

The server runs locally over stdio and uses your Ranch.Bot account. It works with one farm at a time, letting an agent list farms and animals or retrieve records. Include the relevant `farm_id` in calls scoped to a farm.

Some operations change farm data. Those writes go straight through the server, without the app’s confirmation screen or Change History. Before a change, the agent should show the farm, resolved targets, exact values and consequences, then get your explicit approval. Permissions depend on both your farm role and granted scopes. Sign in with `ranchbot-mcp login`; an API key isn’t needed.

## When to use it
- read the animal list for a selected farm
- find an animal by name or identifier
- retrieve records for an animal or group
- make an authorized change after reviewing its values

## Example prompts
- Connect to my farm: call `list_my_farms`, then use the selected `farm_id` with `list_animals`.
- Find the animal with this identifier and show its records.
- Before changing a record, show the farm, matching targets, exact values and consequences, then ask for my approval.
