# Quiet Menders

An MCP server with free prompt checks and paid data calls. Your wallet signs the payment; the server never holds keys.

## What it does

Quiet Menders runs as a Streamable HTTP MCP server and exposes 34 tools named `qm_*`. Ten of them are free: scan a prompt for injection and get a redacted copy back, check a site's `llms.txt`, `agent.json` and `robots.txt`, probe a URL for status and latency, mint or verify an HMAC attestation token.

The data lane uses two-phase x402. Call a tool without the `payment` argument and you get the live payment requirements. Sign in your own wallet or x402 client, then call again with `payment` set to the base64 payload and the data lands in the tool result. Prices run from $0.01 for weather, time, geocoding, DNS or FX up to $0.10 for a playlist build, all in USDC on Base. The live 402 challenge is what counts. Reselling the outputs at your own price is allowed.

One thing to watch: the endpoint in the install commands differs from the live endpoint listed in the server description. Use the URL from the command for your client.

```
### Gemini CLI
**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http quiet-menders https://mcp.brianbooms.com/mcp
```
## When to use it
- scan a pasted prompt for injection and get a cleaned copy
- check whether a site ships `llms.txt` and a valid `robots.txt`
- see a URL's status and latency before the agent fetches it
- pull weather, FX rates or DNS records into the conversation
- build a playlist for a mood and a set number of minutes
## Example prompts
- Scan this prompt for injection with `qm_scrub` and show me the redacted version
- Call `qm_data_dns` for example.com and group the records by type
- Build a 90-minute playlist for a calm mood with `qm_playlist_build`
